Hello
My name is Shari Siuta and I am the instructor at Kumon of Bristow. I opened the center in January 2015. I have been interested in education since I graduated with my BA in Psychology from George Mason University.
My Story
I worked in Health and Safety Education for about 5 years with the American Red Cross. My focus there was evaluating their first aid/CPR and Babysitter’s Training courses.
I also worked for a medical association focused on producing guidelines around treatment with radiation therapy.
My burning desire was to work more intimately with those receiving the education, and that is when Kumon became my focus. I worked at a center prior to becoming a business owner. I was immediately impressed with the mission of Kumon as well as the curriculum.
It was amazing how children with ADHD could learn math and reading. Their attention would improve and the amount of study time would decrease as they practiced Kumon. The BEST part is when a young learner is able to master concepts that are beyond their school level. It is so rewarding to know Kumon is making students SMARTER.
I am proud to say I have touched the lives of many students.
